National security concerns? Local energy sources improve energy independence and consequently national security. I get it. US has a lot of domestic oil production. So that isn't a big factor. But decentralization of power generation is still good for local economies in terms of savings in payments to big oil companies and power distributors, and in terms of resilience against attacks on power infrastructures. And that's probably their hidden agenda. But this charade is tiring. Who exactly consumes this hogwash?

Is there a way to confine all the extra CO2 emissions to areas where the ultra rich who profit from these sabotages live? Why must the entire world suffer for what only a tiny minority benefits from?
